MCDP – Day of Voter Education Action @ Action HQ

Since Proposal 18-3 passed by an overwhelming majority in the 2018 midterm election, Michigan voters can now experience straight-ticket voting, automatic voter registration, same-day voter registration, and no excuse absentee voting. 

This is what democracy is supposed to look like! 

On Saturday, Oct 5th, concerned citizens and volunteers from the Midland County Democratic Party will meet Michigan Democratic Party organizer, Kody Vitale for some fun and informative voter education training.  

Agenda: Meet at 900 Crescent Drive, Midland, MI 48642

10:00 -11:00 a.m., knock doors of Democrats in Midland

11:30 a.m.– 1:30 p.m. to sign people up to get on the permanent absentee list, then

1:30–2 p.m. return for debriefing.

There will be food and snacks. Bring a water bottle and if you have one a smart phone or ipad. Help us educate Democrats in Midland so we all can win in 2020!

Civil Rights Town Hall at Central Michigan University. @ CMU Bovee University Center

On Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 7:00 PM student groups at Central Michigan University, Midland Progressives and other community groups will be holding a free Civil Rights Town Hall at the CMU Bovee University Center 48859, 103 E Preston, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.

This event will be an opportunity to share concerns and hear from activists and experts regarding the importance of defending our civil rights.

This two-hour town hall will include question and answer opportunities with the audience.

The entire event will be videotaped for broadcast for those who will not be able to attend. People will also be in attendance to share information about voter registration. Please join us.
